Sprout terms of service
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Open Cloud Solutions Limited (company number 13400446, registered office C/O Taxevo, 1 Cedar Park, Cobham Road, Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne, England, BH21 7SB), which operates Sprout. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Open Cloud Solutions Limited.
The terms cover Sprout at https://plan-multi-agent-usability-testing-9fecb4c.ocd.dev, the apps hosted on Sprout, Sprout's Agent, and the connection between Sprout and your own AI app. By using Sprout, you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Who can use Sprout
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create and hold a Sprout account.
Sprout is made for families, friends, clubs and hobby groups. The account holder, such as a parent, guardian or club organiser, is responsible for the apps they build and for the people they let use them. Children may use an app that their parent or guardian builds, or that someone else builds with their parent's or guardian's permission. If children will use your app, make sure it suits them and collects as little information about them as possible.
You are responsible for the email account, password, browser, devices and AI apps you use with Sprout. Don't share passwords, sign-in links, tokens or API keys. If you think your account or an app has been compromised, tell us promptly at support@sprout.is.
The service
Sprout gives you hosting and tools to build and run small web apps with AI, including private previews with test data, publishing, sign-in, data and file storage, scheduled tasks, backups and checks.
Sprout is a new service. Features, limits and the way things work may change, and we may improve, replace or stop a feature. If a change means your paid plan includes significantly less, we'll tell you before it happens, and you can cancel. We will never knowingly tell you that a change went live, or that a check passed, when it didn't.
Your apps and content
You keep the rights you already have in the code, data, files and other content you put into Sprout. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, send, back up and display that content, only as needed to provide, secure, maintain and support Sprout.
You are responsible for your apps, the people who use them, the information they collect, telling those people how it is used, and following the law. You must have the rights and permissions you need for everything you put into Sprout.
You can invite people by email to use an app or to help run it as admins. Admins can change and publish the app, manage its settings and people, and see its Agent chats and logs. Their Agent chats for the app use your plan and, if you allow it, your AI account. Only you can delete the app, and you remain responsible for it.
Sprout isn't designed for highly sensitive or regulated information, such as payment card details or medical records, so please don't use it for that kind of information.
Personal information in your apps
Your apps may hold personal information about other people, such as the people who use them or the club members they list. You decide what your apps collect and why. We handle that information only to host, run, back up and support your apps. If you use Sprout for more than your own personal or household life, for example to run a club, this section is our agreement as your processor under UK data protection law. For that information, we:
- use it only to provide Sprout as these terms describe, unless the law requires otherwise
- make sure the people who work on Sprout keep it confidential
- protect it with the security measures described in our privacy policy
- use only the service providers named in our privacy policy, on terms that protect it at least as well, and tell you before we add or replace one, so that you can object or stop using Sprout
- help you, as far as we reasonably can, to answer requests from the people it is about and to meet your other legal duties for it
- tell you without undue delay if we learn of a security breach that affects it
- delete it when you delete your account, unless the law requires us to keep it. When you delete a single app, we delete its data straight away, but keep its backups until you delete your account or ask us to delete them
- give you the information you reasonably need to check that we keep these promises, and help with reasonable checks
Acceptable use
You must not use Sprout to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights
- harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone
- run phishing, scams, fraud, spam or malware
- trick people into giving away personal information, passwords or money
- share illegal content, including any content that sexually exploits children
- secretly monitor people, or make unlawful decisions that seriously affect them
- access, test or disrupt another person's account, app or data, or our systems, without permission
- get round Sprout's security, sign-in, limits, checks or secret handling
- resell Sprout, or overload it in ways that harm other people using it
Good-faith security research must follow the instructions on our support page and must not access or keep data that isn't yours.
If you find an app that breaks these rules, please report it.
AI apps and providers you connect
Sprout doesn't sell, provide or pay for AI. You bring your own: an AI app such as ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, Claude Code or Cursor connected to Sprout, or your own account with an AI provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, connected to Sprout's Agent.
Your use of those services is covered by your own agreement with their provider, including its fees, limits and rules. You are responsible for following that agreement.
AI can be wrong. Code, plans and answers written by AI can be incomplete or mistaken, and you are responsible for checking the changes your AI makes. Sprout's previews and checks lower the risk, but they don't guarantee that an app is free of errors, secure for every use or lawful.
Some actions can't easily be undone. Publishing, restoring a backup, rolling back, deleting a secret or deleting an app can change or remove data. Make sure you or your AI choose the right app before confirming. We may ask for extra confirmation, reject out-of-date changes, or refuse a request that looks unsafe or unauthorised.
Never put a password or API key in a chat or in your app's code. Use Sprout's secret-entry page, or let Sprout create the secret for you.
Paid plans
Sprout has a Free plan and paid plans, currently called Advance and Max. Paid plans give you more room, such as more apps and storage, and include Sprout's Agent. They never include AI: you pay your AI provider directly.
You'll see each plan's price and limits before you buy. Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
Paid plans are sold through Onelink, Stripe's checkout service. For each purchase, Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, is the merchant of record: it takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax, sends your receipts, and handles payment questions, refunds and disputes under the Onelink terms shown at checkout. Your bank statement shows the payment as made to Onelink. We provide Sprout itself and remain responsible for it.
You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing in Sprout, or through Onelink. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. We don't refund the rest of a period you have paid for, unless the law requires it. If a payment fails and can't be collected, your subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
If you're a consumer in the UK or the EU, you can also cancel a new plan within 14 days of buying it and ask Onelink for a refund, as its terms explain.
If your account moves to a plan with lower limits, your existing apps keep working for 3 days. After that, apps over the new limits are paused until you upgrade or remove apps, and custom domains over the new limits are disconnected, so those apps go back to their Sprout addresses. We don't delete your apps or their data because of a plan change.
If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then. Nothing in this section affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Suspension and ending your account
We may suspend or limit an app or account to protect Sprout or other people, to meet legal requirements, if a payment isn't made, or while we investigate a serious breach of these terms. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
If you sign up with a password and don't confirm your email address within 24 hours, we pause your access and your apps until you confirm it.
You can stop using Sprout at any time. You can delete your account from your preferences: your apps go offline, any paid plan ends straight away, without a refund for the rest of its period, and your account, apps and their data are then deleted. Some backup, audit, security and legal records may remain until their retention periods end.
Availability and warranties
We provide Sprout with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that Sprout will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will suit every purpose. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Limitation of liability
If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable. Sprout isn't made for running a business, so we are not responsible for business losses, such as lost profits, revenue, goodwill or business opportunities.
Please keep your own copy of anything that is important to you.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Sprout changes. We'll show the new date at the top of this page. If a change significantly reduces your rights, we'll tell you in advance, for example by email. If you keep using Sprout after the new terms take effect, they apply to you. If you don't agree, you can stop using Sprout and delete your account.
